Is there a Dear Passengers demo?
FLEXUS is preparing a Gamescom demo and plans a public demo later, but no public build is available yet.
Test flight desk
FLEXUS is preparing a playable build for Gamescom and says a public demo will follow later. No public download, demo date, registration form, or access window is available yet.
Confirmed plan A Dear Passengers demo is in development for Gamescom, and FLEXUS plans to release a public demo afterward. The public version is not available today, and the studio has not announced when or where it will be released.
What to do now: wishlist and follow the game on Steam, then wait for an official demo button or FLEXUS announcement. Do not install files claiming to be a leaked demo, early build, beta key, or preview installer.

Decision guide
The planned demo matters, but the current information is still a status update rather than an access guide.
If your main question is whether the physics, cockpit workload, cabin chaos, or online co-op pacing will feel good, wait for the public demo. Steam tags and trailer footage confirm the premise, but not input feel, networking stability, mission length, accessibility options, or solo workload.
The confirmed-features guide is useful while you wait because it separates named mechanics from things only visible in screenshots. A trailer moment may show a hazard without explaining how often it appears or whether players can control it.
FLEXUS has not promised that the Gamescom build and public demo will be identical. The studio has not confirmed demo length, content, save support, co-op support, lobby size, replay limits, language coverage, or whether the public demo will be temporary.
The trailer breakdown can help you decide whether to keep watching the project, while this page tracks access. When the official Steam page shows a demo button, Steam Playtest panel, or dated announcement, that will be the first reliable sign that players outside the event can try it.
Event build
FLEXUS founder Semen Kozyura told Ukrainian technology publication dev.ua that the team was preparing a Dear Passengers demo for Gamescom and would appear at a Ukrainian games stand. FLEXUS has separately identified Gamescom Cologne 2026 as its next event destination.
Gamescom's official schedule places the public show on August 26–30, 2026, after Opening Night Live on August 25. Those dates describe the event, not a Dear Passengers booth schedule or public-download window.
The statements establish that a playable build is planned, but no booth number or public hands-on schedule has been announced.
Read the original dev.ua demo interview, later DOU founder interview, official Gamescom dates, and FLEXUS company updates.
Later access
The founder also said a public demo would be released later. That confirms the studio's intention, not a launch date or an installer. Steam currently offers wishlisting and following but no demo download or Steam Playtest enrollment.
FLEXUS has not said whether the public build will match the Gamescom version, support online co-op, include solo play, save progress, or remain available permanently.
That uncertainty is why this page uses “confirmed plan” instead of “available soon.” A plan is enough to watch official channels; it is not enough to trust download mirrors, schedule a co-op session, or assume the public build will include every feature shown in official footage.
Status wording: “Confirmed plan” means FLEXUS has publicly stated its intention. It does not mean the demo can be downloaded today.
Download safety
There is no legitimate public installer yet. A real release should lead back to FLEXUS or the official Steam page.
Watchlist
These are the concrete signals that would move the status from planned to actionable.
| Steam demo button | A visible Download Demo button on the official store page would be the clearest public access signal. |
|---|---|
| Steam Playtest panel | A join or request-access panel would indicate a limited test path, but none is visible today. |
| FLEXUS date announcement | A dated post from FLEXUS could define the access window, platform, and any limits. |
| Gamescom booth details | A booth number or schedule would help event visitors, but would still not equal a public download. |
| Mode details | Confirmation of solo, co-op, save, or language support would answer what the demo actually contains. |
Access labels
Only the demo plan is confirmed. No beta or Steam Playtest program has been announced.
| Demo | A limited playable version intended to let players sample the game. FLEXUS has confirmed this plan. |
|---|---|
| Beta | A pre-release testing phase that may collect feedback. FLEXUS has not announced one. |
| Steam Playtest | Steam's access system for limited tests. No enrollment panel is visible on the store page. |
